05 Jul 2010
Print finishing specialists Duplo International are pleased to announce the launch of a new A3 electric guillotine, the 4250 from German manufacturers IDEAL.
It features an electric clamp and blade drive capable of 430mm lengths and cut height of 40mm. The backgauge is positioned using a manual hand crank with a digital readout for precise cut positioning, the electric clamp ensures the stack is held securely in position whilst cutting. Like all IDEAL guillotines it comes with a comprehensive Safety Protection System (SPS) which includes hinged, electronically controlled safety guard on the front table, transparent safety cover on the rear table, electronically controlled true two-hand operation and disc brake for instant blade stop. The model is aimed at the copyshop and small inplant market where A3 formats are common, space is at a premium and simplicity of operation are crucial for fast turnarounds.
Angela Osborne, UK Digital Finishing & Office Manager at Duplo International, IDEAL's UK distributor commented "this new model reinforces IDEAL's position as Europe's No. 1 small format guillotine manufacturer and builds upon an already fantastically successful guillotine range.
Osborne concludes "IDEAL's collection of guillotines, shredders and folders means we can boast a truly world-class range of print and finishing equipment in the UK, along with Duplo collators, binders and digital finishing machines. Our product range has definitely widened in both strength and depth with the acquisition of the IDEAL distributorship in 2006."
